Went here on Thursday at about 5pm. There were no fish on display and about five members of staff were busily cleaning the display cases. According to a staff member the shop closed at six. I asked one of the cleaners for prawns, he shouted to a colleague to get Tiger prawns. I thought "Oh here we go - he's choosing the most expensive item". I had phoned earlier to enquire about pink shell-on prawns and was told they stocked them. But I hadn't had Tiger Prawns before and thought it was OK to try everything once. However, I don't like what they did. If shop workers are minded to play tricks like this, it strongly suggests that they are not bothered about alienating customers. The staff are a reflection of the owner's attitude. So I will reciprocate and never buy anything here again. Elsewhere here the owner states he welcomes "positive" feedback - which is pretty daft. You need to be open to negative feedback in order to learn about your mistakes - but this would only be relevant if you gave a damn! Which I don't believe the staff and owners of this shop do.

    Reply to "owner" (May 2018)

In your reply to my posting, you state: "...you wanted Tiger prawns". When you look at your CCTV, you will not have heard me ask for Tiger prawns, but prawns. The shop worker shouted to his colleague for Tiger prawns because they were more expensive than the smaller pink prawns which I have often bought elsewhere. I regard this as a bit of a trick, but accepted it for the reason stated in my post. Also, I never stated I was "pressured into buying the prawns". Read my post. The CCTV footage will also show that I asked for a kilo but then reduced that to 700g because of the price, You appear to have a "perception" problem when viewing your CCTV. Your final comment is nonsense - if I was happy that your staff "...did all they could for you" I would not have written this post.
